Hi guys
I thought I'll share some pictures of my friend's bus. He's had it since 1998, but due to circumstances only got to it now. We will obviously try to keep as much of the patina as we can, but will probably respray the roof.

Nice Kombi.
Many of the SA split kombi's came from factory with the "jump seat".

Staying Aircooled is so much nicer.

Re: 1967 Bus
That would be the 10-seater Kombi, unique to the SA market. It came out standard with a rear-facing middle seat (no fold-down section) and an ambulance-style jump seat attached to the wall opposite the doors. The base of the 10-seater jump seat is slightly different to an ambulance jump seat, as the ambulance seat has small cut-outs to fit beside the spare wheel well moulding on the bulkhead, whereas the 10-seater jump seat base is square. The other parts (backrest and mountings) are the same.Muderick wrote:Anybody have more info on the jumper seat in the middle of the bottom picture?

Re: 1967 Bus
The backrest is not the same. The Kombis have more oblong-shaped backrests and are not lined with piping.fig wrote:The other parts (backrest and mountings) are the same.
