My 59 Beetle called Lindor

Post by dixtoy »

First of all I want to thank Herman again for selling Lindor to me and for suggesting her name as it suit her perfectly. :hangloose:

She is brown, round, smooth and as fine as the best chocolate and every thing the Lindor slogan says:
The iconic Lindor ball embodies passion, craftsmanship, innovation and quality

This post actually belongs in 3 topics
My Ride: As she will from now on be my special ride and pride
Score: As being able to purchase this great car was a big score for me
Trip Report: As going to fetch her in Pe and driving her the 900km back to Heidelberg Gp was our first trip together and I'm sure also and unforgettable one.

At first I wanted to bring her up with a car transporter but as it was going to cost about the same decided to go and fetch her and make it our first road trip and bonding exercise.

So me and a friend got on the bus Saturday night with a bag full of tools, spares and toothbrushes and all we used was the toothbrushes as Lindor did the 900km with out breaking a sweat, running like a Rolex, she didn't even use a drop of oil.

Herman fetched us from the bus stop in his nice Fastback and took us to meet Jacques who showed us his collection of buses, his nice work and some very nice green panels and some he manufactures him self.

Then we went to Herman's house, met his Brasilian and finaly I was able to meet my dream Beetle and fell in love straight away, couldn't stop

Believe me she is one sexy :flash: and the only thing I'm planing to change at this stage is to close up a few holes that lets a lot of wind in from the front, as I was last so could as last night many years ago in the back of a Samil in the army.

Unfortunately we where so exited about our trip that we never thought of taking a camera or a cellphone charger for that matter so we were only able to take a few pics of our trip home.

Thank you for taking over her care, could not have gone to a better home.

Only had Great joy with her, she only treated me right. So sure she will do the same for you.

Nice bonding trip, and maybe your friend has more pic's for use. ??

Dixon, now you have two of the 3, that you need to fill your Golden Trilogy, so when are you getting your Fastback.
