Looking good.
Why you posting such a small pic? You worried Sean would see the kombi in the background....

Stunning Squareback Eugene. The paint job looks great and I can't wait to see the end result. But it's a 1968, and not a 1967. Might have been registered in late 1967 (post-August 1967), but is definitely 1968 spec and VIN# should start with 368xxxxxx to confirm this. Note that the rear number plate light housing on the tailgate was a bolt on unit from 1968 to 1973, and not incorporated into the tailgate like earlier models. Also, 1968 was the first year that the fuel filler cap was moved from under the bonnet to the outside right front fender. I have an early 1969 in exactly the same colour scheme (white with red interior), but mine is a non-runner and requires a complete restoration unfortunately.

Thanks Tony Z. I don't know why, but January is always selected as the default month on registration certificates, so not always very accurate. It's the same with all the registration certificates on my cars as well. This Square was most likely registered in late 1967.

So one has to destinguish between year of registration and market release or facelift year. Yes, this was the 1968 spec but the car was most definitely bought and registered in 1967, thus a 67 model. We all know that there is no way the registration authorities would be open on 1st Jan of any year, yet all papers(mine) show 1 Jan as date of first registration.
