Re: 1971 Crew Cab
good luck
change the distributor cap to a stock style one. Your lekka yellow one will fail and leave you stranded. It is for shows, not for driving.

Sambas in South Africa are good for only 2 things: showing off and sunburn.

Re: 1971 Crew Cab
So last night i go visit a friend, drives great all the way there when its time to leave shudders and has no power.... wont go over 60km/hr...?
i suspect that it is a dead plug, so its time to change plugs.... whats a good plug that has some staying power?

Plastic T piece will fail with time, I allways use metal and recommend it, its a no brainer

Re: 1971 Crew Cab
well this weekend was eventful..... bought a nice set of hubcaps, sprayed the wheels and changed to front wheels to a lower profile which dropped the front end quite considrebly....
wheels stripped and ready for paint.....
wheels on and im happy with the way it looks
now just to figure out how to drop it to this height...... without having 3 heavy weight sitting on the front seat....
any advice would be appreciated when it comes to lowering my crew cab.....

Re: 1971 Crew Cab
Ok here is a quick update.....
fitted metal t-pipe so hopefully no more fuelling issues.
removed the truck lights and what a hack job they have done so now i need to source the originals.... any idea where i can get them?
bought my very own compressor so that should jump start the body works, hopefully gana get started on that today....
to do list:
-prep body for spray, remove all body filler and weld what needs to be welded.
- sort out interior, re cusion and re cover
- get proper exhaust
- get bumper brackets
- sound system
- lower!!!!!!!!
