Can a 1500 be converted to Twin port

Post by TheRookie »

Hi guys

This discussion came up oberbthe weekend .

Can a 1500 single port be converted to Twin without any Issues .

I said yes because i converted my sister's 1300 67 to twin port and slaped a set of 36 Weber IDF'S on it and topped it off with a 009 Dizzy.

She ran for years like that no issues .

What is your consensus around this .

In theory, its just tinware, different head studs and the heads that are different on the long block.

Ideally one could also fit the "doghouse" cooling shroud, wider fan, and oil cooler from a dual port.
Staying Aircooled is so much nicer.
Do'nt assume anything- (While doing fault-finding).
